Musicians of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra to play live in person mini-concert series
Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore proudly announces a new concert series with musicians from the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO), including world-renowned BSO Concertmaster Jonathan Carney.
Beginning on Black Friday, musicians from the BSO will perform two one-hour mini-concerts featuring strings, piano, and harp. The first two performances will feature Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons” as the centerpiece of the concert, along with the Bach “Double” Concerto for Two Violins. The final concert will feature Mozart’s Serenade in D major, selections from Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, and Greensleeves, accompanied by various holiday song arrangements.
“We are delighted to be playing live concerts in front of our loyal patrons of the arts for the first time since March. And the fact that they will be able to hear this music in such an intimate setting is a real treat,” says Carney. “We are thankful for our new artistic partners at Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore for being our hosts during this exciting new venture.”
The mini-concert series will take place in several of the hotel’s spacious and well-ventilated venues, backdropped by panoramic views of the Inner Harbor. During the concerts, attendees will travel from one room to the next as the show progresses in two acts, with the strings and piano in one space, and the harp located in another area.
“We are thrilled to be hosting Baltimore Symphony Concertmaster Jonathan Carney and friends to showcase some live world-class music, which is rare at the moment,” says Beverly Magee, General Manager of the Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore. “We couldn’t think of a more perfect holiday season experience to offer our guests and locals alike.”
The series will take place over three dates: November 27, 2020 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, November 29, 2020 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and December 6, 2020 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Tickets are $89 per person and include a complimentary glass of wine and an individually packaged cheese and charcuterie plate. Availability is limited and tickets can be purchased in advance via Tock.
